Expensive hydrogen water generators do not work as one might expect, making purchasing ready-to-drink hydrogen water pouches the best option available. While the thought of using a hydrogen water generator is appealing, their utilization often leads to problems down the line.

Hydrogen water generators work at times, but at the price point, they’re not worth the stress. Knowing the truth behind these generators will show you exactly why premade pouched hydrogen water is the better choice. With this being said, we wanted to provide some insight into why hydrogen water generators do not work and what you should expect when using one. So let’s touch upon this topic a bit more in-depth.

Hydrogen Water Generators Do Not Work As They Should

You’d think that the way hydrogen water generators work is that any type of water used in the process will become clean and ready-to-drink hydrogen water. But unfortunately, the truth behind these generators is further from this ideal situation.

Hydrogen water generators work well with certain kinds of water, but things can go awry faster than one might think. The majority of hydrogen water generators work in a way that puts something else into the water. Depending on the technology, some of these generators put chlorine, ozone, and other byproducts into the water. And the worst part? These hydrogen water generators put these additional byproducts into your drinking water, and many of the manufacturers don’t even tell consumers what they should expect to drink!

A lot of the hydrogen water generators work by using hydrogen generators. These take the water you pour in and uses a generator to split the water into 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen. This becomes problematic when taking chemical reactions into consideration.

When it comes to using a hydrogen water generator to divide the hydrogen from the oxygen, there are two plates. These plates use electricity to split the water, extracting the hydrogen molecules and distributing them back into the water. One of the plates — the negative plate — generates the hydrogen. The positive plate extracts the oxygen. But how can the separation of oxygen and hydrogen become an issue?

In some hydrogen water bottles, you’re not going to find the clean hydrogen water you desire. Instead, you’ll find contaminated water.

The positive plate is generating oxygen, and with this chemistry combined with other molecules found in your water, other elements are created on this plate. If there are any chlorides or salts in your water, the positive plate is going to generate chlorine. This is the same chlorine you’ll find in swimming pools. And when ozone is generated on the positive plate, it’ll put it into this drinking water.

The fact of the matter is that we only want hydrogen in our drinking water. And while these hydrogen water generators work to infuse your water with hydrogen, they tend to include other undesirable byproducts as well.
